NALGONDA: Three persons died in separate road accidents in Nalgonda district on Thursday, police said. In Miryalaguda mandal, Malothu Chanti, 22, and his mother Sujatha, 40, of Saath Thanda, died after a mini truck hit their motorcycle from behind on the Narketpally-Adhanki highway at Kistapuram around 12.15 pm.
Sujatha died on the spot, while Chanti died while being shifted by ambulance to a hospital in Miryalaguda, police said.
Police said the mother and son had gone to Miryalaguda for Sujatha’s medical check-up and were returning to their village when the accident occurred. Overspeeding and negligent driving by the truck driver allegedly caused the accident.
In another accident, Bollam Rajaiah, 40, of Rajannagudem in Nidamanoor mandal, died at Cherlapally after he fell under the rear wheels of a mini truck while allegedly trying to evade RTA officials checking vehicles.
Police shifted the body to the mortuary of the Government General Hospital, Nalgonda, for autopsy and registered a case.
