Police Open Fire on Most Wanted Criminal Near Adibatla ORR

When the police attempted to arrest Srikanth near the ORR at Adibatla, he allegedly attacked a constable and tried to escape.

Hyderabad: A police team opened fire on a notorious offender, Bhushmi Srikanth, after he allegedly attacked a police constable near Bongulur Gate, Exit No. 12, on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Adibatla.

Acting on the information that accused who had committed thefts in several areas including the Nalgonda district headquarters, was in Hyderabad, a team of Nalgonda CCS police came to the city on Tuesday late night to arrest him.

When the police attempted to arrest him near the ORR at Adibatla, Srikanth allegedly attacked a constable and tried to escape. In response, the police opened fire, injuring him.

During the investigation, the accused was identified as Bhushmi Srikanth, a native of Andhra Pradesh. He was taken to Vanasthalipuram Hospital with injuries and is receiving treatment.

According to the police, Srikanth is involved in more than 10 theft cases and is also accused in the murder of a police constable in Andhra Pradesh four years ago. Further details are awaited.
