Monsoon Enters Parts Of Telangana: IMD
Officials expect the monsoon to extend further across the state, including Hydeabad, over the next two to three days.

Hyderabad:Hyderabad lay on the edges of the monsoon clouds on Monday, though the city experienced vigorous rainfall due to local climatic conditions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday confirmed that the southwest monsoon had entered several parts of Telangana, including Mahbubnagar, Gadwal, Wanaparthy and Narayanpet districts.
Officials expect the monsoon to extend further across the state, including Hydeabad, over the next two to three days.
According to the Telangana Development Planning Society, Hyderabad recorded light to very light rainfall of 2.5 mm on Monday. The city is likely to experience cloudy skies, light to moderate rain or drizzle and gusty winds of 30–40 kmph over the next 48 hours.
The IMD has issued an orange alert for parts of north Telangana on May 28, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall in Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, Nizamabad and Sangareddy districts. A yellow alert is in place for other districts, including Karimnagar, Warangal, Mahabubnagar and Kamareddy. Rainfall is expected to continue across Telangana till June 1, with varying intensity.
Current weather conditions are being influenced by a low-pressure area over Marathwada and its adjoining regions, as well as a trough extending across Telangana and parts of Andhra Pradesh. Another low-pressure area is likely to form over the west-central and adjoining north Bay of Bengal around May 27, which may further enhance rainfall activity.
