Money Laundering Case Filed Against Suspended DSP Bheem Reddy

Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials are verifying who the real owners of the properties were, from where the funds for their purchase came, and why the properties were bought in the names of persons linked to Bheem Reddy or his alleged benamidars. As part of the investigation, the ACB is also examining whether money earned through corruption was diverted through various channels and converted into assets.

Meanwhile, the Benami Prohibition Unit of the Income Tax Department has already registered a case regarding Bheem Reddy's dealings. Details of properties and transactions emerging from the investigations by ACB, ED, and the Income Tax Department have become crucial, and it is learnt that

Bheem Reddy, who was posted in Police Computer Services (PCS), was arrested on July 6 from his residence at Vessella Meadows, Ibrahimbagh, and was sent to Chanchalguda Central Jail. During the searches at 16 locations linked to him, his relatives and alleged benamidars in Telangana and Karnataka. The searches allegedly yielded documents relating to multiple properties, Rs 3.6 lakh in cash from his residence, another Rs 40 lakh from the house of an alleged benamidar, around 2 kg of gold, 20 kg of silver and bank balances of nearly Rs 19.91 lakh.
