MLA Somireddy, Wife Present Silk Apparel to Deity at Golagamudi Ashram
The MLA couple was accorded a traditional welcome by temple EO Balasubrahmanyam, committee members, and villagers.
Nellore: As part of the 43rd Aradhanotsavam of Sri Bhagavan Venkayya Swamy, Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and his wife Jyothamma offered pattu vastralu (silk clothes) to the deity at the Golagamudi Ashram on Saturday.
The MLA couple was accorded a traditional welcome by temple EO Balasubrahmanyam, committee members, and villagers. They later performed special pujas at both the Venkayya Swamy and Sri Anjaneya Swamy temples before flagging off the Venkayya Swamy Rathotsavam.
Somireddy said, " I'm truly blessed to participate in the rituals." He said he prayed for the state’s prosperity and people’s well-being. He lauded the Ashram’s spiritual and social service activities, particularly its initiative of providing free education to nearly 500 students, and revealed that plans were underway to establish a junior college.
The celebrations witnessed large participation from locals, devotees, and TDP supporters.
