Missing 70-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Nirmal Lake
On August 22, some daily-wage workers from Ambaripet noticed a body in the lake and alerted the police. Police reached the spot and recovered the body. It was later identified as Ganganna.
Nirmal: A 70-year-old man was found dead in a lake on the outskirts of Ambaripet village in Nirmal district on Saturday.
According to reports, the deceased, Siddham Ganganna, a native of Nawapet village in Kadam mandal, had gone missing on July 30. He had reportedly gone to a nearby forest area to graze cattle. He would usually return home by evening, but on July 30, he failed to return.
His family members waited until late at night before approaching Kadam police and lodging a missing complaint. SI Sai Kiran, along with around 20 police personnel, formed three teams and launched a search operation. Despite searching for three days, the police could not trace Ganganna.
Later, on August 22, some daily-wage workers from Ambaripet noticed a body in the lake and alerted the police. Police reached the spot and recovered the body. It was later identified as Ganganna.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
