Minorities To Get Rs 20 L Aid for Overseas Study
Minority students can apply for up to Rs 20 lakh aid for higher studies abroad.
Hyderabad: The minorities’ welfare department invited applications to grant the Chief Minister's Overseas Scholarship Scheme (spring season-2026) for pursuing postgraduate and doctoral programmes in foreign countries.
Students belonging to minority communities who have secured admission between January 1 and June 30, 2026, can apply via website https://telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in/ from June 1 to 30. The last date for submitting the required documents at district minorities’ welfare offices is July 31.
Selected candidates will be granted a financial assistance of Rs 20 lakh, along with one-way fare up to Rs 60,000 or the actual fare, whichever is lower. The scheme covers admissions in universities in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Germany, South Korea, Japan, France and New Zealand.
