HYDERABAD: Minister Azharuddin on Wednesday instructed officials to ensure a seamless experience for about 10,000 Haj pilgrims departing from the Hyderabad Embarkation Point from May 4.
At a high‑level coordination meeting held at the Secretariat to finalise arrangements, he reviewed accommodation, transport, airport operations, health services, security, baggage movement and Zam‑Zam distribution. Directives were issued to airport authorities to maintain high standards at RGIA’s main terminal, with particular attention to wazu and Namaz areas and immigration counters.
Haj charter flights through Flynas will operate from May 4 to May 21, with return flights from Madina scheduled between June 11 and June 26. The minister asked officials to provide comfortable stay facilities at Haj House, quick documentation and boarding pass services, medical screening and vaccination camps, dedicated buses from Haj House to the airport, smooth baggage handling, separate facilities for women pilgrims, senior citizen support with aerobridge boarding, prayer and sanitation arrangements, and round‑the‑clock security with crowd control.
Senior officers from police, airport authorities, GHMC, RTC, health department, TS Transco, fire services, BSNL, banks and the Haj Committee attended the meeting and assured full cooperation.
Azharuddin emphasised the use of the Haj Suvidha App and official Telegram channels for real‑time updates, and stressed inter‑departmental coordination with district‑level religious leaders to manage the flow of pilgrims.
