Minister Pushes Germany Placements for Telangana Youth

Hyderabad:Labour and Employment minister G. Vivek Venkataswamy has directed officials to prioritise Germany as a key destination for overseas placements, encouraging youth from Telangana to secure jobs abroad through skill development and language proficiency.
Chairing a board meeting of the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company (Tomcom) at the Secretariat on Monday, the minister discussed several key issues related to overseas employment. He stressed the importance of capacity building, calling for ‘training the trainers’ and immediate recruitment of highly qualified language instructors.
Vivek noted that Germany offers vast opportunities for both skilled labour and educated youth from Telangana, and urged Tomcom to actively facilitate placements. He instructed officials to collect regular feedback from workers employed abroad and submit periodic reports to improve support systems.
He emphasised that each country has its own culture and youth must be trained in cultural orientation. Officials were asked to prepare target-based proposals for training and recruitment through Tomcom. The minister further directed Tomcom to enhance efficiency and working standards, stating that Telangana should set an example for other states in overseas employment initiatives.
