Migrant Worker Dies in Armenia

Srinivas is survived by his wife, three young daughters and a son. Gulf migrant workers leader Gangula Muralidhar Reddy urged the Telangana government to pay an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the deceased family members.

Migrant worker Racherla Srinivas of Thombaravupeta village in Medipally mandal of Jagityal district died in Armenia due to cardiac arrest. The body was brought to his native village on Monday for last rites.

Srinivas had previously worked in Saudi Arabia for nine years from 2006 to 2015. Due to mounting financial problems later, he left his native place for Armenia in search of work on October 18 this year. He took a loan of Rs 5 lakh to secure the job, the family said.
