Mercury Over 43ºC for First Time in Hyderabad
In Hyderabad, the highest temperature was recorded at 43.4°C in Karwan, while Amberpet touched 43°C. In most areas of the city, the maximum temperature remained above 42°C through the day.

Hyderabad: Mercury crossed the 43º Celsius mark for the first time this year in the city, even large parts of Telangana continued to reel under severe heatwave conditions, with at least 20 districts recording temperatures above 45°C and several mandals crossing 46°C.
In Hyderabad, the highest temperature was recorded at 43.4°C in Karwan, while Amberpet touched 43°C. In most areas of the city, the maximum temperature remained above 42°C through the day.
According to Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) data, Mutharam in Peddapalli and Mungala at Suryapet recorded the highest temperature in the state at 46.5°C. Bhadradri Kothagudem, Hanamkonda, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalpalli, Karimnagar, Khammam, Komuram Bheem Asifabad and Mancherial were among districts that recorded temperatures above 46°C.
Weather authorities warned that severe heat conditions are likely to continue in several districts over the next two days as well.
Forecast data showed Khammam may experience 47°C as its maximum temperature on Thursday, while Bhadradri Kothagudem, Suryapet, Jayashankar, Kumuram Bheem and Mancherial are also likely to remain under severe heatwave conditions.
Authorities have advised people to avoid direct sun exposure during afternoon hours, drink sufficient water, wear loose cotton clothes and avoid strenuous outdoor activity. Elderly people, children, delivery workers and those with health conditions have been asked to take extra precautions.
