Medaram Temple To Be Modernised: Seethakka
The minister, along with endowments department principal secretary Shailaja Ramaiyer, district collector T.S. Divakar, and ITDA project officer Chitra Mishra, chaired a review meeting on the modernisation of the Sammakka and Saralamma Temple at Medaram in Mulugu district on Saturday.

KARIMNAGAR: Panchayat raj minister Seethakka clarified that there will be no changes to the Sammakka and Saralamma Gaddelu (platforms), and that modernisation efforts will focus solely on the surrounding areas of the Medaram Temple.
The minister, along with endowments department principal secretary Shailaja Ramaiyer, district collector T.S. Divakar, and ITDA project officer Chitra Mishra, chaired a review meeting on the modernisation of the Sammakka and Saralamma Temple at Medaram in Mulugu district on Saturday.
Speaking at the meeting, minister Seethakka said the government has decided to undertake modernisation work within the temple premises in response to requests from priests and to enhance convenience for devotees. She stated that the redesign will reflect Adivasi tribal culture and showcase the bravery of Sammakka and Sarakka.
The proposals include developing additional facilities such as resting rooms for priests, emergency services, security, medical support, and infrastructure for media personnel. The initiative aims to enhance the overall experience for devotees while preserving the sanctity and cultural heritage of the Medaram Temple, she added.
