Medak Police Conduct Anti-Drug Checks With Narcotics Dog Zoobie

The inspections focused on detecting the illegal sale, transportation and stocking of ganja, drugs and prohibited tobacco products.

Hyderabad:The Medak police conducted surprise inspections in Sardhana under Haveli Ghanpur police station limits on Friday, deploying narcotics detection dog Zoobie to identify illegal drugs and banned substances.

During the operations, carried out on the directions of Medak superintendent of police D.V. Srinivasa Rao, police teams inspected hotels, kirana stores, tea stalls, pan shops and other locations considered vulnerable to the sale or storage of narcotics. The inspections focused on detecting the illegal sale, transportation and stocking of ganja, drugs and prohibited tobacco products.

Police also organised an awareness programme at a local school, educating students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encouraging them to stay away from narcotic substances.

Haveli Ghanpur sub-inspector Satyanarayana warned that strict legal action would be taken against anyone found involved in the sale, possession or transportation of narcotics or other banned substances. He urged shopkeepers to comply with the law and refrain from selling prohibited products.
