Medak Floods: Several Trains Cancelled, Diverted in Telangana

With water overflowing on the tracks, officials streamlined train operations in the Nizamabad–Medchal section through cancellations, diversions, rescheduling and partial cancellations

Hyderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) has taken up urgent restoration works after breaches were reported on railway tracks between Bhiknur–Tadmadla in the Medchal–Nizamabad section and Akanapet–Medak section, following incessant rains.

With water overflowing on the tracks, officials streamlined train operations in the Nizamabad–Medchal section through cancellations, diversions, rescheduling and partial cancellations to ensure passenger safety.

Helpdesk numbers have been set up at Secunderabad (040-27786170), Kacheguda (9063318082), Nizamabad (040-27783606 / 9703296714) and Kamareddi (040-27783867 / 040-27783861 / 9281035664) to update passengers on service status.

On Thursday, trains cancelled included Medak–Kacheguda (77604), Bodhan–Kacheguda (57414) and Nizamabad–Kacheguda (77644).

Meanwhile, Train No. 17605 Kacheguda–Bhagat Ki Kothi, scheduled to depart Kacheguda at 11.50 pm on Wednesday, has been rescheduled to 8.30 am on Thursday. It will operate via a diverted route through Kazipet, Peddapalli and Nizamabad.
