MA&UD Forms Joint Panel For IT Governance In CURE Region
The Joint Committee will function as the common decision-making and coordination mechanism for all IT-related matters concerning shared digital infrastructure and services across the CURE region.

HYDERABAD: The Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Department has constituted a joint committee for IT management and governance of common IT services within the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) area.
The Special Chief Secretary to MA&UD (HMDA limits) will serve as the Chairperson of the committee. The members include the Commissioners of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC). Additional Commissioners heading the IT wings of the three corporations will act as conveners.
According to the government order, the Joint Committee will function as the common decision-making and coordination mechanism for all IT-related matters concerning shared digital infrastructure and services across the CURE region.
The CURE region spans 2,053 square kilometres and covers the jurisdictions of GHMC, CMC and MMC.
The order stated that all new, upcoming, proposed or under-process IT projects and digital initiatives involving common infrastructure, integrated governance systems or region-wide applicability must be placed before the Joint Committee for approval.
The government also clarified that ongoing IT projects, applications, digital platforms, infrastructure services, software agreements, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), cloud services, hosting services and technology partnerships currently shared by the three corporations will continue without disruption under a common governance framework.
