Massive Traffic Jam as Medaram Maha Jatara Draws to a Close

Mulugu: As the Medaram Maha Jatara is set to conclude on Saturday, heavy traffic congestion was reported following the return movement of a large number of devotees after offering prayers to the goddesses.
A massive traffic jam was witnessed on the Medaram–Tadvai stretch, where vehicles remained stuck for nearly 14 km. Devotees were left stranded for over eight hours, causing severe inconvenience.
A devotee said it took nearly eight hours to travel from Mulugu to reach Medaram due to the traffic bottleneck. Many pilgrims complained of long delays as vehicles remained stationary for hours.
Police and traffic officials rushed to the spot to clear the congestion and regulate vehicle movement. Authorities said traffic is currently moving at a slow pace and efforts are on to restore normal flow.
