Massive Fire Guts Several Auto Workshops and Vehicles in Chaderghat

Seven fire tenders battle a blaze as multiple workshops and vehicles are destroyed

Hyderabad: A fire at Kamalnagar Musi Nala gutted several automotive workshops and damaged vehicles before it was doused in about two hours, Chaderghat police said on Friday. The police along with seven fire tenders, rushed to the scene and extinguished the fire by 6.20 pm. No one was injured.

The fire was reported at 4 pm by Syed Shabir, owner of HKBN Motors, who noticed a burning smell. Police said Shabir, along with workers were having lunch inside the workshop at that time. They went to investigate the source of the smell and found that a small fire had broken out in a nearby scrap shop, according to Chaderghat station house officer K.B. Murari.

They tried douse the flames with water but the fire was fed by highly combustible materials and quickly spread to nearby establishments, Murari said. The fire-hit establishments were identified as Moon Motors, HKBN Motors, Splash Motors, JFN Motors Muqtar Decoration and Waseem Motors

Immediately upon receiving information of the fire, personnel from Chaderghat police and the fire services department rushed to the spot and carried out firefighting operations. By the time the fire was brought under control, several workshops were extensively damaged, and multiple vehicles kept for repair were destroyed

Police registered a case of fire accident via FIR No. 266 of 2026 and said the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained. SHO Murari said investigation was in progress, and action will be taken based on the inquiry report in accordance with law.
