Masked Attacker Kills 36-year-old Toddy Tapper in Hanamkonda
The motive behind the attack is not yet known. Police registered a case following a complaint by the victim’s wife, Shwetha.

Warangal: A 36-year-old toddy tapper was allegedly murdered by an unidentified masked assailant at a palm grove in Elkathurthy mandal headquarters of Hanamkonda district on Thursday, police said.
The victim was identified as Godishala Vijay Kumar, a resident of Elkathurthy mandal headquarters. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
Police said Vijay Kumar had gone to the grove for toddy tapping when the masked assailant, who was waiting at the spot, attacked him with a large knife. He sustained multiple deep injuries and collapsed there.
Fellow toddy tappers found him lying in a pool of blood and alerted the 108 ambulance service. Vijay Kumar died while being shifted to hospital, police said.
