Warangal: Sudden, strong gusts of wind caused a wedding mandap and several tents to collapse amid grand Rama Navami festivities across the state in Valmidi village of Palakurthi mandal. The disaster occurred during the Kalyana Mahotsav commemorating the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Sita. Several devotees suffered severe injuries when falling iron rods struck their heads. Among those injured were Sandhya Rani from Gantakuntla village, Manushree from Chennuru, and Vasuri Maramma, whose condition remains critical due to serious head injuries and significant blood loss. The injured were rushed to the local hospital for emergency treatment, and additional injuries have been reported among other attendees.
