Man's Morning Walk Turns Fatal After Dog Scare
A case has been registered with Kushaiguda police and further investigation is under way.
Hyderabad:A 62‑year‑old private employee died after suffering a fatal neck injury during a morning walk in Kushaiguda on Wednesday.
According to Kushaiguda police, the deceased, K. Mariappa, stepped out for his routine walk around 8 am. About 30 minutes later, family members were informed by local residents that he had collapsed on the road.
On reaching the spot, his family found him with a bleeding injury near the neck. Eyewitnesses said two stray dogs approached him while he was walking. Believing they were coming towards him, he tried to chase them away but slipped and fell, striking his neck on a stone lying nearby.
An ambulance was called and he was rushed to a private hospital. However, he lost consciousness during the journey. Doctors declared him dead on arrival.
