Mancherial Leads Telangana in Government School Student Enrolment
Mancherial topped Telangana in government school enrolment, achieving 95.72% of its target, with over 3,300 students shifting from private to government schools.

The Mancherial district has secured first place in enrollment of students as part of a target to get 10 per cent more students than the last year's strength in each government schools in the state.
The district’s officials said they have achieved 95.72 per cent of the target this academic year. Many students studying in private schools also joined the government schools in the district, they said.
The state government had fixed the target. Collector Kumar Deepak and additional collector P Chandraiah released the report of the U DICE portal status on July 25.
According to the report, there were a total of 43,072 students in government schools in Mancherial district. The government has given a target of enrollment of 47379 for 2026-27.
As many as 275 government schools achieved more than the target in student enrollment. The Mandamari and Jaipoor mandals achieved 100 per cent target while Hajipur 99.91 per cent, Naspura 99.76, Bheemaram 98.24 per cent and Nennela mandals 98 per cent.
The official data revealed that 96-100 per cent more students enrolled in 10 mandals out of the total 18 mandals. Some 3,352 more students of private schools joined the government schools by July23.
Collector Deepak attributed the high enrollment of the students in the government schools to the well-qualified teachers and presence of teaching aids like Smart TVs, ICT Computer Labs, laptops, Tab.
“We have recruited computer teachers in 82 government schools this academic year and formed 8 academic supervising teams to monitor the educational standards of the students,” he said.
The state government is providing free residential education to the girl students from 6th class to Intermediate in Kasturba Gandhi residential schools.
DEO P. Chandraiah said they tried to ensure that the teachers in primary and pre-primary government schools personally enrolled their students in the higher classes in government high schools.
The Rajanna Sircilla district has secured second place, and Jagtial district the third place in the enrollment of students in government schools.
