Man Sentenced To Life For Killing Wife
Acting on Sudheer’s complaint, Korutla police registered a case and arrested Chandraiah. After examining the evidence and hearing witnesses, the judge found him guilty and pronounced the sentence.

KARIMNAGAR: The District Court on Wednesday sentenced 50-year-old Yerra Chandraiah of Yakinpur to life imprisonment and imposed a ₹2,000 fine for murdering his wife. First Additional District Judge S. Narayana delivered the verdict in Jagtial district.
According to the police, Chandraiah, who was addicted to alcohol, regularly harassed his wife, Gangavva, and their son, Sudheer. On October 29, while intoxicated, he quarrelled with Gangavva at home, killed her, stole her gold, and disposed of her body in the SRSP canal near the village.
Acting on Sudheer’s complaint, Korutla police registered a case and arrested Chandraiah. After examining the evidence and hearing witnesses, the judge found him guilty and pronounced the sentence.
Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar praised the ruling, saying that no one who commits a crime can escape punishment. He commended the police and prosecution for their strategic investigation and successful prosecution.
