Hyderabad: Sangareddy traffic police booked a man for using a fake number plate on his scooter in an attempt to escape traffic fines and legal action.

During subsequent vehicle inspections near the old bus stand, police identified another scooter bearing the same registration number. Investigation revealed that the rider installed a fake number plate to avoid traffic penalties and legal scrutiny.

The SP warned that special surveillance is being maintained on vehicles using fake or obscured number plates and said strict legal action would be taken against offenders involved in such illegal activities.
