Man held For Making Adulterated Pickles Worth in ₹2.25 Lakh Warangal

Acting on information, task force officials raided a house at Sai Veedhi under Intezarganj police station limits and found spoiled raw materials being used for pickle preparation.

Hanumakonda: Warangal task force police arrested Arikela Srinivas for allegedly manufacturing and storing adulterated pickles in unhygienic conditions at Kashibugga in Warangal, police said.

Acting on information, task force officials raided a house at Sai Veedhi under Intezarganj police station limits and found spoiled raw materials being used for pickle preparation.

Police said the products were being packed in small sachets and supplied to grocery stores and retail outlets in the city.

Officials seized 750 kg tomatoes, 900 kg mangoes, 200 kg lemons, 100 kg gooseberries and 150 kg ginger-garlic paste. The seized stock was valued at about ₹2.25 lakh.

The accused and the seized material were handed over to Intezarganj police for further action. The raid was carried out under the supervision of Task Force ACP A. Madhusudan.
