Man Gets Life Term For Sexual Assault On 4-Year-Old

A Hyderabad court sentenced a 76-year-old man to life imprisonment for sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl under the POCSO Act.

The XII Additional Sessions Judge, Nampally, Archana Kumari, on Thursday sentenced a 76-year-old man to rigorous imprisonment for the remainder of his natural life after finding him guilty of sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl. The court also imposed a fine of ₹25,000.
According to the Golconda division ACP, the convict, G. Narayana, attempted to sexually assault the child on June 28, 2025. Neighbours who noticed the incident intervened, caught him and rescued the child. A case was subsequently registered against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Following the judgment, Narayana was shifted to the Central Prison, the ACP said.
