Hyderabad: A man and his cousin killed his 25-year-old brother during a quarrel at about 4 pm, Medchal police said on Sunday. Medchal ACP B. Srinivas Reddy identified the deceased as Umesh, who is survived by his wife and two children. The accused are at large.
Police said Umesh used to beating people up in the family. His brother Rakesh, along with a cousin, Laxman, reached his place, in order to counsel him but found him drunk. The counselling session turned into a quarrel, and Rakesh and Laxman allegedly tried to stab him.
Umesh ran out of his house but the duo caught up with him and stabbed Umesh to death.
