Man Convicted In 2021 Murder Sentenced To Life
A 29-year-old man was sentenced to life imprisonment and fined ₹20,000 by a Rangareddy court for murdering a 32-year-old woman in 2021.
A 29-year-old man was sentenced to life imprisonment and fined ` 20,000 by the X Additional District and Sessions Court, Rangareddy, for the murder of a 32-year-old woman five years ago.
According to Cyberabad police, the victim was last seen leaving work at around 9.30 pm on September 4, 2021. When she did not return home, her mother searched for her and learnt that her body had been found with injuries at a real estate layout the following day.
Police said investigation revealed that the accused Dommari Raju had an illicit relationship with the woman and picked her up from work on the night of the murder. According to the police, the duo had an argument over money, following which the accused assaulted and strangled her to death. Police further said he stole her gold pendant and mobile phone and disposed of some evidence in a nearby water body. The accused was arrested on September 22, 2021.
