Make TIMS Hospital Fully Accessible to People: KTR

TIMS is established with an aim of providing world-class healthcare to the people of Hyderabad: KTR

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) here on Friday urged the State government to complete the remaining construction work of the TIMS hospital in Sanathnagar on priority and make it fully accessible to the people.

Speaking after inspecting TIMS, he said that TIMS hospitals were established with an aim of providing world-class healthcare to the people of Hyderabad. Earlier, the government hospitals like Gandhi and Osmania General Hospitals was the mainstay.

“We have designed and planned TIMS to provide AIIMS-level healthcare in Hyderabad,” he said, adding that 22 acres of land have been used for Sanathnagar TIMS. He said the hospital has been constructed with state-of-the-art technology and international standards.

He said that the BRS government has brought TIMS with the aim of providing better healthcare to the poor in competition with private corporate hospitals and added that the TIMS hospitals have been established in Sanathnagar, LB Nagar and Alwal.

Stating that another government hospital with 2000 beds is being constructed in Warangal, Rama Rao said three blocks have been constructed in Sanathnagar TIMS at a cost of Rs.1200 crore.

He said that emergency medical services will be available with 300 ICU beds. “If the KCR government had continued, this hospital would have been completed two years ago,” he added.
