Mahesh Kumar Goud Offers Prayers in Nizamabad

TPCC president and MLC B. Mahesh Kumar Goud on Sunday offered special prayers at the Sri Renuka Ellamma temple in Ambedkar Colony and the Sri Kotagally Maisamma temple in Kotagalli as part of the Ashada Bonalu festival.

He presented traditional offerings to the presiding deities and prayed for the happiness, prosperity, good health and well-being of the people of Telangana. He also sought divine blessings for the state's continued progress and development.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahesh Kumar Goud said Bonalu symbolised Telangana's rich culture and traditions and reflected the unity and harmony among its people.

Temple committee members welcomed the TPCC chief and presented him with tirtha prasadam after the rituals.

Nizamabad Mayor Uma Rani, city Congress president Bobbili Ramakrishna, corporation chairpersons Shekhar Goud, Taher Bin and Kesha Venu, along with local Congress leaders, party workers, temple committee members and devotees, participated in the programme.

Later, Mahesh Kumar Goud attended the annual general meeting of the Agrasen Co-operative Urban Bank as the chief guest. He lauded the bank for earning the trust of customers over the past 27 years and appreciated its contribution to the co-operative banking sector.

He welcomed the introduction of Core Banking System (CBS)-enabled digital banking services and said co-operative banks played a vital role in supporting small traders and middle-class families. He added that the Telangana government was creating a favourable environment for investments and industries and said digital services, transparency and public trust were the pillars of a successful banking institution.
