Mahabubabad JNTUH Engineering College Students Boycott Classes Over Hostel Issues

The students expressed anguish over the poor hostel infrastructure, alleging that nearly 30 students are sharing a single bathroom, causing severe inconvenience.

Mahabubabad: Students of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) Engineering College in Mahabubabad boycotted classes on Tuesday and staged a protest, demanding basic amenities in the hostel, including an adequate supply of drinking water and improved sanitation facilities.

The students expressed anguish over the poor hostel infrastructure, alleging that nearly 30 students are sharing a single bathroom, causing severe inconvenience.

They claimed that despite repeatedly bringing the issues to the notice of the college management, no action had been taken. The protesting students demanded that the drinking water shortage be resolved immediately and that additional washrooms be constructed. They warned that they would continue their agitation until their demands were addressed.

Police reached the spot and tried to pacify the protesting students, but the students and their leaders continued to demand justice.
