Liverpool Officials Meet CM Revanth in London, Explore Partnership With TG Govt in Tech, Life Sciences, Sports
Chief Minister’s adviser and ex-officio special chief secretary, CMO, who is part of the delegation to the UK, visited Imperial College London on Saturday.

Hyderabad:Liverpool City Development and Liverpool Football Club said on Saturday that they would explore a strategic partnership with the Telangana government, with the proposed collaboration focusing on life sciences, technology, sports and the creative economy. The proposed partnership is expected to open up opportunities for collaboration, investment and knowledge exchange between Liverpool and Telangana across the identified sectors. A delegation from Liverpool is scheduled to visit Hyderabad in October to take forward the discussions and formally establish the partnership.
Susan Finnegan and Nuala Gallagher from Liverpool City Development, along with representatives of Liverpool Football Club, met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in London on Saturday and expressed keen interest in establishing a strategic partnership with the Telangana government.
Meanwhile, K. Ramakrishna Rao, Chief Minister’s adviser and ex-officio special chief secretary, CMO, who is part of the delegation to the UK, visited Imperial College London on Saturday. During his meeting with Amanda Wolthuizen, vice-president for strategic engagement and chief of staff to the president, and Rosanna Gillespie, senior international relations manager (South Asia and Australasia), Ramakrishna Rao presented the strengths of Telangana and outlined the opportunities for collaboration between Telangana and the prestigious institution.
Wolthuizen expressed interest in exploring several opportunities, including the possibility of offering short-term and executive education programmes in Hyderabad, besides collaborative partnerships in research and exchange programmes.
Rao invited the Imperial College representatives to Hyderabad for the Invest Telangana Global Summit, scheduled to be held on December 7, 8 and 9. Imperial College London is a world-leading university specialising in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Medicine) and business, and the proposed engagement is expected to create opportunities for academic, research and knowledge partnerships with Telangana.
