Leopard Spotted in Khanapur Forest Near Narsampet

Area tahsildar Nangunoori Ramesh has appealed to the public to remain vigilant and strictly follow the advisories issued by the authorities until the situation returns to normal.

Warangal: Forest authorities have sounded an alert following reports of a leopard moving along fringes of the Khanapur forest area near Narsampet in Warangal district.

Officials said villagers first noticed the wild animal two days ago moving through palm oil plantations near Khanapur. They immediately informed the forest department.

Forest officials visited the area and verified the presence of the leopard. Since then, they have intensified their monitoring in the area. The animal's movement has been captured on surveillance cameras installed by the forest department.

Officials believe the leopard may have returned to the nearby forest. But they have cautioned people in surrounding villages to remain cautious as the wild animal may return. Residents of nearby villages have been advised not to venture into forest areas.
