Hyderabad:The officials of the Malkajgiri municipal corporation (MMC) along with local MP Etala Rajendar, MLAs and MLCs of Rangareddy district will inspect the Jawaharnagar dump yard on Friday. An all-party meeting was held on Thursday on the instructions of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to redress the grievances of the residents of the areas affected by the dump yard.
After the meeting, MMC commissioner T. Vinay Krishna Reddy said that feasible locations had been identified on all four sides of the city for scientific waste management. “A permanent solution will be achieved only if all the stakeholders cooperate,” he said.
The future course of action includes measures in coordination with the waste management agency to ensure that all works are executed as per the agreement. Chief Whip, Patnam Mahender Reddy also attended the meeting along with HMWS&SB managing director K. Ashok Reddy and Cyberabad police commissioner B. Sumathi.
MP Rajendar urged the Chief Minister for immediate action as he had earlier served as MP from the same constituency; he was well aware of the issue related to the dump yard.
Medchal MLA Chamakura Malla Reddy suggested that the people living around Jawaharnagar should be provided with better civic amenities by roping in corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds and mentioned that the Ramky Group is failing to adhere to the terms and conditions of their agreement. The waste management at Jawahar Nagar dump yard is taken care of by Re-Sustainability Limited, formerly known as Ramky Enviro Engineers Ltd.
While Maheshwaram MLA Sabitha Indra Reddy also pointed out loopholes in waste management at Jawaharnagar, Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy said that tracking and utilisation of vehicles carrying garbage must be strictly monitored.

LB Nagar legislator Devi Reddy Sudheer Reddy emphasised the need to pay special attention to roads and community infrastructure. Medchal district Congress president, Vajresh Yadav said that using CSR funds locally will ensure better amenities.
