Hyderabad: A netizen, Sandeep David S., on Saturday posted a picture of a six-foot-long snake crossing the road near Sanjeevaiah Park on PVNR Marg (Necklace Road). “I and my kids were too surprised that this six-footer snake slid right in front of our car,” he wrote, adding, “not every day do you see a snake in the city.”
Avinash from Friends of Snake Society said it was a rat snake, which is active during the day. He explained that rat snakes are non-venomous, move constantly and are difficult to track. “It can be caught only when they stay in one place, which is regularly done by our team,” he added.
