Lalitha Anand Mesmerises Audience At Salar Jung Museum’s Platinum Jubilee Ghazal Evening

Hyderabad: Ghazal singer Lalitha Anand presented a programme at the Salar Jung Museum as part of its 75th platinum jubilee celebrations. Organised under the aegis of the Union culture ministry, the programme brought together art lovers, musicians, and distinguished guests to celebrate India’s rich artistic and musical heritage.

Lalitha Anand, wife of Director General of Police C.V. Anand, rendered iconic ghazals including ‘Ranjish Hi Sahi’, ‘Ae Kuchh Abr’, ‘Qatil Te Aitbaar’, ‘Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar’, and ‘Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo’, each set in classical ragas such as Yaman, Bilawal, Bhoopali, and Kafi. Her command over classical nuances and emotional delivery earned widespread praise from music enthusiasts.

Among those present were DGP Anand and senior IPS officer Sudeep Lakhtakia, artists, and members of Hyderabad’s cultural fraternity. Organisers said the programme highlighted Salar Jung Museum’s continued commitment to preserving India’s rich cultural traditions while encouraging appreciation for classical and literary arts among younger generations.
