KU Convocation On July 7

Campus access will be restricted on Sunday, July 6, and Monday, July 7, to facilitate convocation arrangements, and requested that everyone adhere to the guidelines: University registrar Prof. V. Ramachandram

WARANGAL: All preparations are complete for Kakatiya University’s 23rd convocation, scheduled for Monday, July 7, vice-chancellor Prof. K. Pratap Reddy announced.

Addressing the press in Hanamkonda on Saturday, he confirmed that Telangana Governor and university chancellor Jishnu Dev Varma will preside as chief guest, while Dr D. Srinivas Reddy, director of the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology and a Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar awardee, will also attend.

The ceremony, which will run from 11 am to 1.15 pm, will see the conferral of 564 gold medals and 387 PhD degrees across various departments.

Preparations are being overseen by a steering committee and 10 sub-committees, each comprising a convener, co-convener and teaching and non-teaching members. Prof. Reddy urged students, parents, faculty and staff to cooperate fully to ensure the event’s success.
