KTR Slams Sajjanar For Being Judge, Jury

Reacting to Sajjanar’s post on X that the SIT “concluded the questioning of Gajwel MLA and former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao in connection with the illegal phone tapping case,” Rama Rao told Sajjanar in a reply to that post that Sajjanar should “remember” he is chairing the team investigating an “alleged crime which ultimately has to be proven in a court of law.

HYDERABAD: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Monday slammed Hyderabad commissioner of police V.C. Sajjanar for who he said appeared to have “decided to be the judge and jury” with respect to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing tapping of phones during the BRS rule.

I hope the courts are taking notice of these extreme statements and high-handed actions,”

Later, during an informal chat with reporters, Rama Rao called the SIT probe a ‘manufactured distraction’ and questioning Chandrashekar Rao a ‘political farce’.

“Making Chandrashekar Rao sit for hours in the guise of an inquiry amounted to an attack on democratic values. This was done merely to satisfy the government’s political vendetta. Since coming to power, the Congress government did not deliver anything substantial to the people, but has focused on diversion politics through false propaganda and politically motivated investigations,” Rama Rao said.

He also said Sunday’s state-wide demonstrations by BRS workers protesting Chandrashekar Rao’s questioning rekindled the spirit of the statehood movement and reflected the deep dissatisfaction people have against the Congress government.

Rama Rao also demanded transparency over investment pledges made at Davos, asking how many projects announced in 2024 and 2025 turned into actual investments and said the government must release a white paper in the Assembly on this matter.

“The Congress rule has been marked by administrative collapse, deterioration of law and order, and prioritising interests of vested interests reflected by the failure to protect water bodies, land, and coal mines,” he said.
