KTR Slams Rahul Over ‘420 Promises’

He alleged that the state had become an “ATM” for Rahul Gandhi under the Revanth Reddy‑led Congress government.

Hyderabad:BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Sunday launched a sharp attack on Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of betraying the people of Telangana by failing to fulfil the Congress’ poll promises.

Addressing party leaders and workers, Rama Rao described Rahul Gandhi as “one of the biggest liars and promise‑makers in Indian politics” and said the Congress leader had no moral right to speak about students’ issues while avoiding Telangana.

Calling Rahul a lapata leader for not visiting the state, Rama Rao said the Congress leader travels across the country speaking about Chhatron Ki Goonj (the voice of students) but lacks the courage to set foot in Telangana. He alleged that the state had become an “ATM” for Rahul Gandhi under the Revanth Reddy‑led Congress government.

“Before the 2023 elections, Rahul Gandhi made 420 promises to the people of Telangana. The Congress promised to implement its six guarantees within 100 days, fulfil 13 declarations and deliver on all 420 promises. More than 1,000 days have passed. What happened to Rahul Gandhi’s 420 promises,” Rama Rao asked.

The BRS leader alleged that while the BJP government at the Centre was dividing people, the Congress government in Telangana was “looting” the state. He said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had become “Rahul Gandhi’s ATM card.”
