Will rise from the ashes like a phoenix: KTR
Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi, which lost all the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies it contested from in Telangana, declared that it “will continue to toil and rise from the ashes like a phoenix.”
Party working president K.T. Rama Rao, in a post on X late on Tuesday afternoon, said as a party, the BRS had seen it all in the 24 years since it was founded. “Stellar achievements, successes and also many setbacks,” he said.
Describing the formation of Telangana state as “the greatest glory,” and one that will remain its “biggest achievement,” Rama Rao said “being a regional party won two consecutive state elections with a good majority 63/119 – 2014, 88/119 - 2018. Currently, the principal opposition with 1/3rd seats 39/119 – 2023. Today’s electoral setback is certainly very disappointing. But we will continue to toil and will rise from the ashes again like a Phoenix (sic).”
