KTR Hails BRS-Backed Wins in Panchayat Polls, Claims Mandate Against Congress

KTR noted that villagers prioritise stability, welfare-oriented policies, and consistency in fulfilling electoral promises.

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) announced on Monday that the second phase of Gram Panchayat election results signal a noticeable shift in Telangana's political atmosphere and the beginning of a challenging period for the incumbent Congress government.

KTR congratulated BRS-backed sarpanches and ward members, especially those who won in constituencies held by Congress ministers and MLAs. He said their success highlights the effectiveness of the party's grassroots workers and local leadership.
The BRS leader viewed the rural mandate as reflecting growing public dissatisfaction with the government's performance, expressed through the democratic process. He stated that the results show the populace's demand for transparent governance and consistent, effective implementation of welfare schemes.
Describing the outcome as "feedback on governance over the past two years," KTR noted that villagers prioritise stability, welfare-oriented policies, and consistency in fulfilling electoral promises.
Comparing the current results to the clear advantage BRS enjoyed in rural local body elections during its previous regime, KTR highlighted the political significance of the Congress party's failure to secure many panchayats despite being in power.
He believes these non-party symbol panchayat poll outcomes will influence upcoming local body elections contested on party symbols. KTR expressed confidence that the BRS cadre will approach the next phase with renewed morale and organisational strength.
Reaffirming the leadership's commitment, KTR assured that the BRS would stand firmly with its "pink soldiers" who worked through challenging times. He said the party will continue political and organisational activities within democratic norms, focusing on welfare, development, and accountability.
KTR urged the cadre to remain active at the village level, engage directly with people, address their concerns, and constructively communicate the BRS agenda. He stressed that strong grassroots connections are vital for shaping the party's future in Telangana.
