KTR Demands CEC Gyanesh Kumar’s Resignation, Favours SC’s Suo Motu Action on SIR Irregularities
"Gyanesh Kumar must go! No individual is above the institution," he said. The nation has seen many individuals come and go and it has survived beautifully. So why this desperation to protect one man, KTR asked.

Hyderabad: BRS working president K T Rama Rao on Friday demanded CEC Gyanesh Kumar's resignation and favoured the Supreme Court taking a case on its own over the alleged irregularities in SIR. He said the apex court should order a probe by a sitting Supreme Court judge into the SIR "irregularities."
In a post on 'X', he said nothing is greater than the Constitution of India and no Indian citizen can be stripped of their right to vote.
"Gyanesh Kumar must go! No individual is above the institution," he said. The nation has seen many individuals come and go and it has survived beautifully. So why this desperation to protect one man, he asked.
He further claimed how can one man be greater than the rights of 1.4 billion Indians.
"Time's up for Gyanesh Kumar and for anyone trying to build a quasi-system that destroys the soul of this great nation," Rao said.
BRS sources said the party would stage a protest outside the office of the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer here on October 10 in support of its demand for the resignation of the CEC.
