KTR Appears in ACB Court in Formula E Case; Hearing Adjourned to August 25
KTR, Arvind Kumar, BLN Reddy submit ₹1 lakh surety each; ACB names them in ₹55 crore fund diversion case
BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao appeared before the Nampally Special ACB Court on Friday in connection with the Formula E car racing funds diversion case. The court adjourned the hearing to August 25.
KTR, along with IAS officer Arvind Kumar and former chief engineer BLN Reddy, submitted a surety of ₹1 lakh each before the court.
The ACB had filed a chargesheet alleging that around ₹55 crore from HMDA funds was transferred to a foreign entity without approvals from the RBI and the Cabinet during the previous BRS regime. In the chargesheet, KTR has been named as A-1, Arvind Kumar as A-2, and BLN Reddy as A-3.
Following the court taking cognisance of the chargesheet and issuing summons, KTR appeared for the hearing. Tight security arrangements were put in place around the Nampally court premises.
After the hearing, KTR left the court premises.
