Krishna Ph-II Works Nearing Completion
The board also warned consumers not to share OTPs, UPI PINs, debit or credit card details, CVVs: Reports

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) said shutdown works taken up on the 2,375-mm diameter MS pumping main from Nasarlapally to Godakondla under the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Project (KDWSP) Phase-II are nearing completion.
The works include replacement of air valve tees at 45 locations and rectification of a scour valve leakage at Kurmed village. HMWS&SB officials said the remaining works were expected to be completed by 9 pm on Monday, followed by phased pipeline charging from 10 pm.
“Water supply to the affected areas is expected to be restored gradually by 10 am on Tuesday,” the board said.
Meanwhile, HMWS&SB has cautioned consumers against cyber frauds in which callers or messages impersonate the water board and seek payment or bill updates.
Consumers have been advised not to click links or download APK files received from unknown numbers, or install apps, enable screen sharing or provide remote access on the pretext of updating water bills or avoiding disconnection.
The board also warned consumers not to share OTPs, UPI PINs, debit or credit card details, CVVs, passwords or bank account information. Consumers should use only official HMWS&SB channels to check and pay water bills.
Anyone noticing a suspicious transaction should immediately contact their bank, secure the account or card and report the matter to cybercrime authorities. They should also preserve SMSes, phone numbers, links and transaction details as evidence, HMWS&SB said.
