Adilabad: Kotapalli police visited the family of Atram Lachanna, a senior Maoist leader serving as secretary of the divisional committee in the central zone of the Maoist party in Chhattisgarh, and extended support at their residence in Parupalli village, Kotapalli mandal, Mancherial district on Tuesday.
Led by Chennur Rural CI Sudhakar and SI Rajender, the police team donated essential commodities and clothes to Lachanna’s family members as a humanitarian gesture. CI Sudhakar appealed to Lachanna to renounce violence and join the mainstream, assuring that the state government would extend a rehabilitation package if he surrendered before the police.
