Konda Surekha Reviews Preparations For Inavolu Mallanna Jatara
Konda Surekha instructed the Electricity Department to ensure a 24-hour uninterrupted power supply and RTC officials to run additional buses, especially for those travelling onward to Komuravelli and Medaram.

Warangal: Endowments minister Konda Surekha has directed officials to ensure a smooth and successful experience for devotees at the upcoming Inavolu Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Jatara, which will be held from January 13.
Speaking at a review meeting at the Collectorate conference hall in Hanamkonda on Saturday, Konda Surekha instructed the Electricity Department to ensure a 24-hour uninterrupted power supply and RTC officials to run additional buses, especially for those travelling onward to Komuravelli and Medaram.
She also highlighted the need for immediate road repairs and for the R&B and Police departments to install barricades to manage crowds safely. Sanitation and health emerged as top priorities during the review.
The minister ordered the deployment of additional staff from neighbouring panchayats to maintain cleanliness around the clock. She also called for the setup of mobile toilets, dedicated facilities for women, and 24/7 medical camps equipped with 108 ambulances.
To ensure safety and order, the minister directed the Police Department to deploy female officers to protect women devotees and to install CCTV cameras to monitor the grounds for suspicious activity. Konda Surekha also tasked the Excise Department with preventing the illegal sale of liquor during the Jatara. For the convenience of devotees, the Tourism Department will set up LED screens to showcase the significance of the Jatara, alongside various cultural programmes.
Following the review, the minister, along with the MLA and collector, officially released the posters for the Inavolu Jatara. She urged all officials to work in coordination and stay connected via a dedicated WhatsApp group to monitor the situation in real time. The minister stated that the government is ready to provide incentives to departments that perform exceptionally well in making the Jatara a peaceful and grand success.
Wardhannapet MLA K. R. Nagaraju, District Collector Sneha Shabarish, GWMC Commissioner Chahat Bajpai, and officials of various departments were also present.
