Komatireddy Reviews Rain Damage, Orders Immediate Road Restoration

The minister held a review meeting with Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj and senior officials to assess the damage caused to roads, culverts, and bridges due to recent heavy rains and flooding. He emphasized that engineers must carry out regular field inspections of culverts, low-level bridges, and causeways until the weather situation improves.

To prevent any loss of life, the minister stressed the need to alert the public in advance. He instructed R&B officials to coordinate closely with the Police, Electricity, Revenue, Irrigation, and Panchayat Raj departments to ensure swift and effective response measures.

Temporary restoration work on damaged roads and culverts should be taken up immediately to avoid disruptions to public transport, he said.

Minister Venkat Reddy also directed officials to remain stationed at district headquarters and keep him updated on field-level conditions regularly.
