Komaram Bheem, Kadam Projects Open Gates To Release Excess Monsoon Inflows

Adilabad:Irrigation officials opened three gates of the Komaram Bheem project and one gate of the Kadam project yesterday to release excess inflows downstream. The Kadam project received 3,000 cusecs of water on Friday.
Meanwhile, inflows into the River Penganga have decreased compared to previous days. Komaram Bheem authorities have issued an alert advising residents along the banks of the Peddavagu River and local fishermen to avoid venturing into the water.
In Adilabad, officials warned inhabitants of Bela and Jainad, where the river is running high due to upstream rains in Maharashtra, not to enter the floodwaters for their safety.
