Hyderabad: The Central government accorded environment clearance for the Kodangal and Narayanapet Link Project to lift four TMC of water to meet the irrigation and drinking water requirements in three Assembly constituencies including Kodangal.
The State government has filed an application seeking environment clearance on January 13. Five days ago, the State level environment impact assessment authority examined the application and on January 29, the Centre accorded clearance for the project.
Once the project is completed, the State government could lift four TMC of water to one acres in Narayanpet, Mukthal and Kodangal Assembly constituencies apart from meeting the drinking water requirements. The water would be lifted in three phases
