Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday arrested Ananthula Venkanna, a Forest Beat Officer at Kodad in Suryapet district when he demanded and accepted Rs.20,000 from the complainant to do an official favour.
Venkanna demanded bribe to avoid any hindrance to the complainant's wood business. The bribe amount was recovered from the pocket of tank cover of Venkanna’s bike. The ACB officials produced him before the special court for ACB cases in Nampally after which the court remanded him to judicial custody.
