Officials must lay focus on developing the old city on par with Hi Tech City and funds should be allocated equally.

Underlining the importance of education and women welfare, Kishan Reddy said drinking water and drainage problems became common in slums and asked authorities to provide street lights wherever necessary apart from replacing the defunct one.
The Union Minister wanted officials to furnish all the details related to getting funds from the Central government, which would extend necessary cooperation to allocate special funds. He advised officials to chalk out plans to utilize Central funds effectively.
He asked officials to send proposals related to expansion of second, third and fourth phase of metro rail to the Central government as the first was confined till Afzalgunj only. “Once the proposals are received, the Central government would extend assistance in sanctioning funds or grants,” he added.
